Stephanie Gottwald
Artist | Hobbyist | Traditional Art
My Name is Stephanie and I am from Germany.
I paint since I am able to hold a pencil, but I am not nearly able to paint what I have in mind.
Most of the time I make fantasy and furry art but I am able to work outside of my comfort zone if needed.

I use many different media in my creations but I havent found my way into digital media so far. Sometimes I experiment with it, but I dont feel comfortable working at the pc for art.
But I am working on this problem. ;)
The last couple of months I find it very hard to feel comfortable on deviant art and I fear this is my own fault.
Every day I go online to check my inbox I have over 300 new submissions and only 1-2 of these have something to do with me or my gallery (favs, comments and so on). ALL the other submissions are tons and tons of artworks of people that I watch, journals, polls, da notifications...
I should not complain, its my own fault because I have so many people on my watchlist.
I tried to "clean up" a few weeks ago, but ended up by deleting 2 or 3 names because I liked the art of that watched artists too much to kick them off my list.

Serious, if I didnt liked there artwork, I would not have watched them right?

But this problem leaves me with a big dilemma. At the moment I rarely realy look at the artworks in my inbox because it is JUST TOO MUCH and delete them without a closer look. Its so sad.

Well, I think this is farewell when you are on such a big art gallery like deviant art for so many years. :(
I dont have a solution for this problem, exept deleting artists from my watchlist even if I like them realy much.

Do you have similar problems and how do you deal with it?

i would please like to know, what material do you use or your traditional work? (brands,ect..):) (Smile)

Hello Pumpkin-Tail :)

I use the "Polychromos" colored pencils from "Faber Castell" and "Pelikan" Ink.
I have no brand I prefer for watercolors or gouache, I use the same old thing I got as a gift years ago. :/

The papers I use most is the watercolorpaper from "Hahnemühle" and Bristol paper of different brands.
I dont know if you can get all these brands outside of germany. :/
Maybe you can search for it on amazon or so on.

Greetings Schiraki
