a monarch by Schiraki a monarch by Schiraki
This was a commission for :iconfurcom:
I like how it came out, the colors are more brilliant in reality (like always). I am not very good in doing postwork on my pictures. :/

If someone is fit in postwork I would appreciate any tricks (I use GIMP for postwork).

Im not sure if this will make perfect sense, but I feel so much energy in this. Its just so pleasant to the eyes.

Thank you very much, and I think that makes sense. I try to put dynamic and emotion in every of my pieces, even into the more "static" ones, like this one. If it worked, it makes me a very happy person. ^^

Oh it worked alright. Its not a surprise either <looks through gallery>, since your work has that sort of "magical" aspect to it.

This came out wonderful! I really admire your skills with depth and texture. The arm and shoulder are my favorite parts on this piece because you did a brilliant job of showing the underlying musculature without losing the texture of the fur. I also love how you did the leaves, starting with lots of detail and definition in the foreground, and becoming less detailed with distance. The background is simple, but it makes the piece very interesting because of that. The character pops out so nicely against the background while still looking immersed because of the foreground detail.

Keep up the great work! :D
